About Sweet Dough
My name is Jeannette Chavez, I am a mother, a baker and the founder of Sweet Dough.
I was born and raised in NYC and currently live in Miami, FL.
The love for baking and creating Sweet Dough came a few years ago when a friend (a pastry chef) asked me to help him with a four tier fondant wedding cake. I remember that night making so many tiny embellishments out of gum paste and truly felt a love and a passion toward this beautiful profession. A few months after that, I decided to quit my job as an administrator for a health insurance company and began working as his assistant. Soon after, I chose to get professional training at Johnson and Whales university. The rest, well is yet to come.
